Release 1.06
Upload/Download software supports both the Destiny 6100 and Destiny 6100AN control panels.
Included with this release is a Windows 95 based Report Writer - ACCTRPTR.EXE. This Report
writer reads account files and outputs a WordPad document containing all System Options,
Zone Summary, User Codes, and Control Channels. This document can be viewed and/or
printed.
INSTALLING THE PROGRAMS
Double-click on the file "6100SUe.exe" and follow the prompts
to install the 6100 downloader in the directory of your choice.
At this point, these files will have been installed:
README.TXT -- This file
UD6100e.EXE -- DOS Downloader executable file, English language
UD6100e.HLP -- Help files - not user readable
DESM.DEF -- Modem definition -- not user readable
ASAP.MDM -- Predefined modem setup parameters
DESTINY.IN4 -- Default account file for the Destiny System
DESTINYP.IN4 -- Default account file for the 6100 AN panel (paging)
NETWORK.TXT -- Instructions for storing account files on a network
EVENTLOG.DOC -- MS WORD document explaining how to use the NEW event
log file
and examples
ACCTRPTR.EXE -- WIN95 utility to generate printable account
information
ACCTRPTR.TXT -- Installation & use instructions for the account
info utility
If you will be using fewer than 512 accounts, you may now use the
package by running "d61ke" and following the prompts. If you do not complete the
steps below, you must run the program from within the directory (folder) that it is
loaded.
If you wish to use more than 512 accounts, the location of the program
files must be added to the "PATH" variable and the environment variable
"UD" must be added to tell the program where to find its utility files.
For example, if the directory (folder) you created to hold the upload/download package is
C:\DEST61K, the following would be needed in the autoexec.bat file:
PATH=C:\DEST61K; . . . (other path info) . . .
SET UD=C:\DEST61K
Please refer to your Operating System manual for information on the creation and use of
autoexec.bat files.
You must tell the downloader which COM port your modem is using before
you will be able to call a panel. This is in the menu "Set Options" under
configuration. Using either COM1 or COM2 works best!! Whatever COM port you choose DO NOT
use NON-STANDARD IRQ assignments, it WON'T WORK !

NOTE: Users of Rev 10.xx 6100 panels:
Rev 10.x panels do not support partitions and split-arming, but do
support paging options not supported by previous panels. In order to communicate with 10.x

account type CANNOT, at this time be converted to the other.
Use the following procedure to automatically launch the downloader with
paging enabled:
1) Create a shortcut to the downloader executable.
2) Right-click on the shortcut and choose "Properties."
3) Choose the Program Tab.
4) Add 'p' without the quotes, to the command line
5) Click OK
6) Rename the shortcut to remind you of its purpose.
NOTE: Users of Rev 8.03 6100 panels:
